Assemblymember Blanca Rubio's comprehensive early literacy bill, Assembly Bill 2222, will likely be heard by the Assembly Education Committee at the State Capitol in Sacramento on April 10th. (The hearing date will be confirmed one week in advance and we will notify you if there is a date change.)
We need your in-person support! Please RSVP if you can join us!
CEJA, along with AB 2222's co-sponsors, is calling on our network families, supporters, educators, and advocates to stand together in Sacramento and show support for this critical legislation.
Packing the hearing room with supporters sends a powerful message to our legislators that early literacy reform in California is a top priority!
If you're committed to making a difference and can attend the hearing in Sacramento, please RSVP before Wednesday, March 27th.
We will share further details closer to the hearing date. In the meantime, we want to thank you for your support of AB 2222 and all literacy-related efforts in our state!
With gratitude,
The CEJA Team
